The Buechler Lab studies unknown aspects of the immune system with a particular interest in fibroblasts & macrophages.
Matthew Buechler received his PhD in the laboratory of Dr Jessica Hamerman at the University of Washington. He performed his postdoctoral training with Dr. Shannon Turley at Genentech. Dr. Buechler started a laboratory at the University of Toronto (UofT) in the Department of Immunology (DoI) in 2021. He serves as the DoI Associate Chair for Wellness, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity and the Director of the DoI Flow Cytometry Facility. He is also a member of the Banting and Best Diabetes Center, the PRiME consortium at UofT and the Stem Cell Network Early Career Researcher Committee.
